Pastors of Grace Lutheran Church have always been involved with the community. Pastor Ficken is an active member of the Clergy of Springfield Township
(COST). The clergy support each otherís work and respond to community concerns. The group of pastors sponsors community worship services for Thanksgiving, a service held annually at a neighborhood congregation with one of the other clergy as preacher
Graceís Pastors have been called on by the local American Legion Post to participate in the annual Wyndmoor Memorial Day parade and ceremony.
Grace Church hosts the American Legionís Veteranís Day worship service in November and the Pastor participates in the annual Memorial Day service also sponsored by the American Legion Post that is held at the local Catholic congregation.
Grace Church sponsors youth activities for the neighborhood. A Boy Scout Troop was organized at Grace early in the 20th Century. Boy Scout Troop #177 has had its home at Grace for many years. A Cub Scout Troop and a Girl Scout Troop are also present within the congregation.
Grace Churchís facilities are used by other organizations. Womenís Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Menís AA, and an Al-Anon group all use various meeting places within the church. Grace Church is one of the neighborhood polling places for all of the elections. The Wyndmoor Civic Association meets at the church and the Democratic Committee frequently holds its meetings in the building.
